What is the cheapest method of shipping my things home?

The cheapest method of shipping depends on how much stuff you have. For large shipments with a high volume or a weight over 300 kgs, ocean freight is your best option. However, for small shipments like a snowboard bag or a few extra suitcases, airfreight is the most cost effective method.

Are there any additional costs?

There are no hidden costs with World Cargo. The only other costs come from the customs clearance and handling fees charged by the destination ports. These cover the unloading and processing of your things. Into Australia, the charges are approximately $ 27.00 Australian dollars. Other costs may arise if your things must be quarantined due to dirt or other material on your things. This is sometimes the case with mountain bikes going into Australian. So make sure your goods are clean.

If I can’t drop my things off to your office, do you offer a pick-up service?

Yes we can have your goods picked up from almost anywhere. We have a residential pickup service from Whistler, as well as the lower mainland, and have trucking depots through the province to have your things brought to YVR.

Can my shipment be delivered to my door?

We are able to have your things delivered to the door at almost any destination. How ever it does get quite expensive, and most customers find it much more cost effective to have the shipment picked up at the port/airport.

How long does it take for my shipment to arrive?

The time varies depending on location, but with airfreight it is typically 3 days., but can be as fast as overnight. We are able to have your things arrive the same day you do if you are traveling on, or want your things delayed.

How close if your office to the airport or Canada Line?

We are located very near to the main terminal at the Vancouver airport. It is a 4 minute drive, and we do provide a shuttle service to and from the main terminal. We are also only a 5 minute walk from the Sea Island stop on the Canada Line.

Am I able to have my things store?

We provide storage for as long as you need. So we can have your shipment arrive when you are ready for it.

Do you provide any insurance coverage?

We are able to insure you’re shipments against physical damage, theft, or loss.
